We have some extensions that we enable in template1 that we expected to exist in the Integresql template databases. My read of https://www.postgresql.org/docs/current/manage-ag-templatedbs.html is that template1 is a better default template than template0 since template1 is the default for CREATE DATABASE.
If this isn't a desirable change, no worries.
